Congratulations to the Dayan Сontract Mining team, who have achieved one million training hours from June 2016, through to November 2019.
This tremendous milestone for not only the training team, but also the entire Dayan team, represents the effort that has been required to develop our workforce into the productive team that exists today.
1 million training man hours includes soft and technical skills training, covering mobile equipment, shaft sinking and mining skills; training planning and delivery of Oyu Tolgoi site Specific HSE and High Risk courses, along with additional professional training attendances on site, underground and in Ulaanbaatar. These training sessions have aided employees working at Shaft #2 and #5 sinking, barrel equipping, structural and mechanical piping at Shaft #2, underground development support, rock bolting, hoist and maintenance, Raisebore and construction support services at the Oyu Tolgoi Mine site in Mongolia. Congratulations to everyone involved in maintaining high levels of safety and productivity on site – may you all have continued success and prosperity!
