Concurrent with the headframe equipping, the Dayan team was busy removing the sinking steel in the shaft, from the collar level to shaft bottom at 1,284 m below surface. Once removed, personnel began installing over 3,000 tons of steel in the shaft to include brackets, buntons, 10 sets of guides, full brattice, shaft station steel and scroll plates. All steel installations were performed from four separate installation conveyances of which Dayan designed and installed.
