Safety and Training

Training programs and procedures were first established in 2007 by Redpath, to provide training services to the Oyu Tolgoi copper gold mine project and are still, proudly delivered through DCM. Our training team is capable of providing knowledge and skills-based training, covering all facets of the mining cycle of underground development and shaft sinking. Our trainers are highly skilled and capable of developing and delivering mining equipment training in dual languages meeting or exceeding Mongolian and International standards. The team will always put safety at the forefront of all training activities while ensuring optimal performance of equipment. Along with physical equipment training we are proficient of delivering leadership development oriented training including on the job coaching programs and general health and safety courses.

Not only are we conducting theory, practical training and skill based assessment in the field through continual planning and evaluation, we are also focusing on the ongoing performance of operators. As newly acquired skills are applied, operators receive ongoing coaching and support. A multi-layered approach includes secondary training, creating measurable quality, productivity, skills and behavioral data utilizing the most modern digital technology and field assessment. Based on this component of data analyzing, we provide skill and behavior oriented gap training. This supports miners as they improve their experience and competency towards safe production and utilization of expensive equipment. The Dayan Supervisor Common Core training team continually develops supervisors to educate them to make the right and safe decisions for their team’s productivity, our client and their own well being.
