As part of the commissioning and ongoing operations of Shaft 1, Dayan has supplied all manpower to aid in the delivery of the operation and logistics of the shaft. Along with the transition of operational tasks for the shaft, the transition of about 300 qualified and trained personnel from Dayan over to Oyu Tolgoi was completed in August 2019.

This involved:

• Organization of material mobilization and delivery to specified work locations averaging 1500 tons of material per month 
• Delivery of up to 744 personnel to the underground beteen 3 crews 
• Heavy lift underslinging 
• Daily, monthly and annual maintenance on all hoisting components to ensure safe operation
  
• Ensuring GASI compliance to all laws and regulations in accordance with licensure
